"Into Darkness" Increases Awareness

Author Shares Story of his Struggles with Depression.

Ann Arbor, MI, September 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Author Jeff F. Klein has written an intense, and sometimes shocking, book about his own struggles with one of the most significant, and misunderstood, issues in society today – depression. The book is published by Lulu.com, the online marketplace for digital content.

Mr. Klein relates the story of his struggles coming to terms with his own depression, and his experience dealing with it. According to some statistics, depression affects 10% of Americans over the age of 18, yet is one of the most misunderstood mental illnesses. “Into Darkness” is an intense and honest peek inside the mind of someone suffering from depression. It relates the story of his mistakes, lessons, and emotions in a raw and honest way that will help people understand how serious depression can be.

Mr. Klein says: “I wrote ‘Into Darkness,’ because I never thought depression could affect me; that I was too strong. But I want people to know that depression can affect anyone, and it is okay to talk about it. Depression does not equal failure, and people should know they are not alone. Hopefully, this book will raise awareness, and awareness will bring about change in society’s treatment of this debilitating disease.” Mr. Klein is also available to speak about his book and his experience with depression. He believes that open dialogue is the best way to gain acceptance of the disease, and of people struggling with it.

The book, titled “Into Darkness,” is currently available through Lulu.com at http://stores.lulu.com/jfklein and will be available through most on-line booksellers shortly. Mr. Klein can be reached for comment at (248) 390-7489 or at jeff@themetroperspective.com.
