High Flying Help: New Netherlands Flight Attendant School, Swan Heights, Teaches Service with a Smile to the Rich and Famous
In October of this year, Dutch entrepreneurs André Seijbel (seebel) and Heidi Smale (smile), will start a new school for flight attendants who work on private jets. This makes their company, Swan Heights, the first institute to offer worldwide, quality service in the airplane personnel market.
Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The school will focus on a full range of high quality services for discriminating owners of private and corporate airplanes.
Education program
This new training at Swan Heights takes 28 days to complete at a boarding school in the vicinity of Schipol Airport. They take lessons in 3 modules while there:
- How to get rid of paparazzi – The school will teach ‘safety, security, how to take care of VIPs & crew’ (for instance: first aid, fire drills and how to handle hordes of media flashing cameras and asking intrusive questions).
- ‘Hospitality & Service’ (for instance: cultural differences, overnight travelling, etiquette & protocol, hygiene, and dealing with the lifestyle of clients and their passengers);
- ‘Food & Beverage’ (flight attendants are taught how to properly serve a six-course meal and keep to themselves. A private chef and restaurant will give them a course in the world’s 18 most important cuisines, including their presentation).
Several components of the training will take place in external training facilities.
Apart from the extensive training, Swan Heights offers a shorter, 15-day course for corporate flight attendants. The company also provides ‘tailor made’ courses.
In-house experience
Both Seijbel and Smale teach their own part of the course, within their own field of expertise. Seijbel is an experienced butler and a passionate chef. He used to pamper clients with luxurious dinners on board a Challenger 604, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 900 earlier in his career. Smale has extensive experience as a travelling personal assistant and butler.
With a little help from top-ranking specialists
Thérèse Boer, owner of the renowned and three star award-winning Michelin Guide restaurant ‘De Librije’, was asked to teach at Swan Heights.“At ‘De Librije’, hospitality is second nature. We wish to pass on that feeling to the students at Swan Heights,” says Thérèse. “The unique set-up of this training and its pursuit of quality are strongly connected to our values in this respect. André and Heidi know exactly what their clients need!”
Ready for take-off
Swan Heights has a previous history of tailor-made education for the aviation branch. This new, extensive training for flight attendants starts October 2008. Slots for placement at the school are filling fast. Flight attendants wanting to serve in the private jet industry should apply as soon as possible. The first applications have already arrived.
