Home Entertainment Just Got Quieter with the SilentFlux® Media Cooler Designed by Noise Limit
Noise Limit has moved beyond passive and active cooling techniques to create the next generation CPU cooling technology called bubble pump. The patent-pending design is based on a non-mechanical system that uses the heat, created from the CPU, to create liquid and gas bubbles which move through a hermetically sealed closed loop tubing and condenser/radiator to cool the system. AMD LIVE! Home Cinema System and Life|ware to Utilize SilentFlux; Life|ware to Demonstrate SilentFlux at the CEDIA.
Cupertino, CA, September 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Noise Limit, Inc., a next generation high performance CPU cooling design company specializing in low noise solutions for consumer and custom systems, today announced the availability of its SilentFlux® media cooler solution for the consumer market. Two of Noise Limit’s partner companies, AMD and Life|ware, by Exceptional Innovation company, are now featuring SilentFlux.
- AMD’s AMD LIVE!, an all-in-one high definition media system, references SilentFlux as the cooler solution for its “Cool ‘n’ Quiet” feature.
- Life|ware, creating anytime, anywhere entertainment and home control solutions, will demonstrate SilentFlux Media Cooler in its Life|media 170series at the CEDIA EXPO, September 3-7 in the Exceptional Innovation booth 410.
“One compelling feature of our AMD LIVE! Home Cinema PC system is its very low noise level,” said Jay Taylor, Strategic Solutions Manager for AMD. “We’ve worked closely with Noise Limit for almost three years to develop not only the SilentFlux™ Media cooler, but also the thermal layout and performance of the complete AMD LIVE! Home Cinema PC system. The Noise Limit development and engineering team has made great strides by lowering noise reduction in a solution that has great performance and high reliability — two features essential for the consumer market.”
"We are very excited to be adding Noise Limit CPU coolers to our growing product lineup" says Seale Moorer, CEO for Life|ware. "The ability to provide cooling to today’s high powered CPU's quietly is a challenge. Noise Limit has helped us solve the quiet and cool requirements for our new Life|media servers with SilentFlux".
New Bubble Pump Technology
Noise Limit has moved beyond passive and active cooling techniques to create the next generation CPU cooling technology called bubble pump. The patent-pending design is based on a non-mechanical system that uses the heat, created from the CPU, to create liquid and gas bubbles which move through a hermetically sealed closed loop tubing and condenser/radiator to cool the system. The bubbles continue to circulate and cool creating the bubble pump. The design reduces the need for the typical high power, high noise airflow thus creating a cooling system that is low power, flexible, cost-effective with very low audible noise.
“Attaining superior noise performance in the consumer market means no one notices, and when that is achieved, we know we’ve built the right solution,” said Bob Senior, EVP of Noise Limit. “We’ve reduced noise levels dramatically into the low 20’s dB which is virtually inaudible. Another benefit of our bubble pump design, not found in other cooling solutions, is its flexibility to be customization for confined or unusual shaped spaces. This intrinsic ability of our design will open the doors to other existing and future products benefiting from next generation cooling.”

About Noise Limit
Noise Limit Inc. was founded to create the next generation of reliable CPU-cooling solutions that are low noise and high performance. In confined spaces or over distances, the SilentFlux design has the unique ability to move large amounts of heat from a single or multiple sources without the aid of a mechanical pump. The patent-pending design uses an innovative lightweight hermetically sealed aluminum tubing to cool electronic components for consumer-based systems, such as home entertainment and gaming machines, as well as custom implementations, such as servers, all-in-one computers and other small format PCs. Founded in 2000, Noise Limit is a privately held, venture capital funded company with offices in Copenhagen, Denmark; Cupertino, CA, USA; and Taipei, Taiwan.
