The Deutsche Bank Championship was staged at TPC Boston during Labor Day weekend, Vijay scored a record breaking 22-under par to win the championship by five strokes - his second straight win of this year's PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedEx Cup. Singh used the following set of clubs to secure his historic win: Cleveland HiBore XL driver in conjunction with Adams Idea a3 Boxer hybrids - 16 and 19-degree. Vijay played Cleveland CG1 irons (4-PW) and CG12 wedges (54, 60 and 64-degrees). Vijay used a Never Compromise Milled Series Long putter for delivering the greatest long-distance putting of his career.
Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach - Champions Tour
Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach was staged on the Del Monte Golf Course from 29th to 31st August, 2008. Jeff Sluman won his second Champions Tour victory closing on 5-under 67 for a five stroke victory over rivals Craig Stadler and Fuzzy Zoeller. Sluman used a TaylorMade Tour Burner driver with 3-wood and Rescue TP Hybrid. Jeff was also playing Mizuno irons - MX-900 (3-iron) and MP-67 (4-PW), with Titleist Vokey Design wedges and Rossa Spider IB putter.
Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles - European Tour
France's Gregory Havret stormed to victory at this year's Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles winning by just one shot ahead of Graeme Storm on 14-under par 278 - claiming his second victory in Scotland after winning the Scottish Open in 2007. Havret used the following golf clubs to secure his win at Gleneagles: Ping Rapture (9-deg) driver and G10 3-wood in addition to an 18-degree Ping Rapture Hybrid Rescue Wood and S58 Irons (3-PW). Havret's selection of golf clubs was completed with the addition of Ping Tour-W wedges (52- and 58-degrees) and Ping G5i Craz-E B putter.
