ShapeWrap III Motion Capture System and XSI 7 by Softimage in Beijing China

Fredericton, Canada, September 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Carl Callewaert of Measurand, will use the ShapeWrap III Portable Motion Capture System to help introduce XSI 7 by Softimage in Beijing China. The presentation will help to provide insight into why SoftImage / XSI is the best solution for artists and students during the development and creation of custom video games. The final version of the video game created by the Centre for Arts and Technology's students using Softimage | XSI, Valve Source Engine, and Measurand’s ShapeWrap III motion capture system will be shown and discussed. Students used Softimage | XSI to model their school and instructors in the development of a paint ball video game, which they then added motion capture to the characters using Measurand’s ShapeWrap III motion capture system. Carl will explain in detail, the step-by-step process of the project and the important role it can play in the future employment prospects of the students in the industry.
