Worlds of Discovery Parks in Florida Join Cause for Vacation Rental Awareness
Leading theme park brand partners with Discover Vacation Homes to support national awareness of Orlando vacation home rentals.
Orlando, FL, September 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- In a landmark partnership, the Worlds of Discovery parks in Florida - SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove in Orlando, and Busch Gardens Africa and Adventure Island in Tampa - join the vacation home industry’s consumer advocacy group, Discover Vacation Homes, with a common goal to grow the awareness of Orlando’s professionally managed vacation rentals to travelers nationwide. Worlds of Discovery Florida is one of the first local affiliates to join the nonprofit association’s Central Florida chapter.
“This alliance will benefit Central Florida’s tourism and hospitality industries greatly as we work to unite the travel community and increase awareness of the area’s strong vacation rental product,” states Steve Trover, President of Discover Vacation Homes. “We are both thrilled and honored to announce the support of such a prestigious organization.”
Sponsorship assistance by area tourism partners helps to fund Discover Vacation Homes’ publicity efforts throughout the remainder of this year and supports the group in its preparations for a national launch in 2009. The association is currently accepting allied memberships on a local level for the remainder of 2008 and beyond. National memberships will be available beginning in October of this year.
“We believe firmly in strong partnerships that help grow our destination,” said Tim Swan, vice president of sales for Worlds of Discovery Florida. “We’re looking forward to working with Discover Vacation Homes to broaden awareness of alternative lodging to the more than 40 million visitors who come to Orlando each year.”
