PosiTector 6000 New IMO PSPC Feature
The PosiTector 6000 now offers a new IMO PSPC 90/10 feature in all memory gages.
Ogdensburg, NY, September 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The redesigned PosiTector 6000 Coating Thickness Gage from DeFelsko Corporation now offers an advanced IMO PSPC feature set in memory models. This new feature makes it easier than ever to comply with the International Maritime Organization Performance Standard for Protective Coatings (IMO PSPC) regulation for seawater ballast tanks in all types of ships and double-side skin spaces on bulk carriers.
The PSPC 90/10 rule states that 90% of all thickness values shall be greater than or equal to the Nominal Dry Film Thickness (NDFT) specified and that none of the remaining measurements shall fall below 90% NDFT.
The PosiTector 6000 allows the user to enter a target thickness value. From there, the PosiTector 6000 will automatically ensure compliance as each measurement is taken by indicating a PASS or FAIL condition.
The PosiTector 6000 memory models come complete with PosiSoft software and USB cable to download the report including the specified thickness criteria, each individual reading, and a PASS/FAIL statement. Additionally stored results can be viewed on the display or printed to an optional IR printer.
