Robert L. Griffard is Again Writing for NewsByUs.com

In "Barack Obama and the Sermon on the Mount" Griffard reviews the June 28, 2006 speech delivered by Senator Barack Obama at the Call to Renewal Conference “Building a Covenant for a New America”. The conference was sponsored by Sojouners. The Senator’s topic was the “Role of Religion in Politics”.

It was during this speech that Senator Obama made reference to the Sermon on the Mount as a “radical” passage.

Griffard states that Obama's comments should definitively dispel the wrongful idea that Barack Obama is not a Christian. Griffard goes on to say that Barack Obama is the personification of the struggles inherent in a democratic plurality.
