eele Laboratories, LLC Partners With Two Asian Companies to Introduce a New Standard to the Projection Industry

Bohemia, NY, May 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- eele Laboratories, LLC (eele) has just finalized the details of cooperation with two factories in Asia. eele will be working with both Beijing Illumination and KTO Technology Co., Ltd (KTO) to manufacture and supply components for the Plug & Play lamp module created for the projection industry.

eele has designed an end user replaceable lamp assembly, the eele Plug & Play, for front and rear projectors that renders improved performance, lower cost and increased reliability over conventional lamp assemblies. Additionally, the Plug & Play will offer a lamp assembly that, when adopted by manufacturers, will result in a standard lamp design throughout the industry and will allow consumers to simply replace a bulb, rather than entire lamp assembly. Currently, lamp assemblies are inconsistent in design that each projector model may have a different configuration; the consequence of which is high cost of design and manufacturing, as well as high cost and limited supply of replacement lamps for end users.

eele has partnered with these two Asia-based companies in an effort to begin efficient and economical mass production of the Plug & Play lamp assembly. Beijing Illumination will be the primary source for lamps, manufactured using eele’s licensed intellectual property. KTO will be the primary source for metal reflectors that utilize eele-enhanced® cold mirror coating and secondary source for high-pressure mercury lamps, ensuring a virtually unlimited lamp supply. Both manufacturing facilities have been pre-qualified by eele, and will fabricate the components following eele’s licensing agreement and strict quality standards.

eele Laboratories, established in 1997, specializes in advancing the state of the art for a variety of illumination applications. These applications include front and rear projection display systems.
