Tarzana, CA, May 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Alisa Wolf M. Ed., in association with Joey Travolta’s Entertainment Experience, announced today…
Actors For Autism Summer Film Camp gives children ages 9 and up the chance to be a part of the digital film making process from pre-production to the last shot! This comprehensive two-week summer program is taught by industry professionals with both television and film experience. Campers will work hand-on with professionals such as producer/director Joey Travolta and writer/director Raymond Martino, along with several other guest celebrities, and learn how to act, produce, direct, light, and shoot each film they work on. This is an inclusive program; typical peers and siblings are an integral part of the camp experience and are welcome to sign-up.
Actors For Autism created this series of film camps in order to provide an opportunity for children to learn about the movie making process and create their own films. The camps are therapeutic in nature and are geared toward the improvement of communication skills, interactive social skills, and the building of self-confidence.
Alisa Wolf M.Ed., an industry veteran and the mother of two young children on the autistic spectrum, has created several programs designed to integrate children with autism into society in a creative way. Ms. Wolf and Joey Travolta co-founded Actors for Autism in 2004, a non-profit organization, comprised of people in the entertainment industry dedicated to the advancement, education, and exposure of children and adults on the autistic spectrum.
Three camp sessions are available from June to August on the dates listed below. Two week camp tuition: $1000. At the end of the summer, films produced by campers will be screened at the 2006 Entertainment Experience Film Festival. For more information, contact Actors For Autism at (877) 228-7006.
