Two More Concerts in the 2008 White Park Concert Series Brings Hot Cars & Hot Sounds to Downtown Riverside
Free community event in Downtown Riverside featuring the Cadillac Cats and recording artist JD Priest live at White Park.
Riverside, CA, September 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- There are two more concerts in the 2008 White Park Concert Series on Sunday September 28th and October 12th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at White Park, 3901 Market St. in historic downtown Riverside. This free community event is hosted by Riverside Downtown Partnership (RDP) and the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD). These White Park concerts are sponsored by Dutton Motor Company-Cadillac, who will be showcasing two of their cars at the venue.
On Sunday, September 28, rock-a-billy band “The Cadillac Cats” — a high-octane trio that will move you out of your seats and on to the dance floor — are back by popular demand. The Cadillac Cats will be performing hit tunes from the 50s and 60s. Attendees will enjoy a trip down memory lane when big block hotrods ruled the road, and the fathers of rock ‘n roll ruled the radio.
The 2008 White Park Concert Series will end with a bang on Sunday, October 12, with the awesome sounds of popular local recording artist, JD Priest (jdpriest.com).
Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Priest has toured worldwide and opened for top-named performers including Grammy-award winning country artist Dan Seals. He was also a special featured artist on the Charlie Daniels’ Talent Roundup on TNN cable network in the early 90s. Since then, his career has sky-rocketed affording him and his band the opportunity to tour nationwide in front of sellout crowds. In 2002, Priest was a featured artist along with Heather Sullivan for California’s Lieutenant Governor, Cruz Bustmante. In addition, he’s opened for classic rock legends such as Lou Grahm (Foreigner), Mickey Thomas & Starship, the Calling, Jimmy Van Zant and more.
Priest has received rave reviews from such publications as; Music Connection magazine, Global Muse, The Press-Enterprise, LA’s Crown Magazine, and named by The Dana Point Herald as, “one of Southern California’s most promising acts”.
White Park concert attendees will be treated to a special performance on October 12th by this incredibly talented artist, and hear him perform songs from his latest release, “Falling Forward” as well as a mix of other Soul, R&B, Rock, Country, and Blues/Jazz hits.
Early arrival is strongly suggested and attendees can bring their own chair or blanket for the lawn. This is a family-friendly event and no alcohol is permitted in the park. After the concert, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many dining choices in downtown Riverside.
Come rock to the sounds of The Cadillac Cats on September 28th and hear the electrifying sounds of JD Priest on October 12th at White Park. For more information call (951) 341-6550 or visit RiversideDowntown.org.
