New Online Debate Management Software Adopted by National Debate Organizations
DebateWare.com has developed an online tool to manage debate organizations and conferences. This software, named DebateNet, went into use by customers two years ago. National high school and college debate organizations use DebateNet to handle all planning, scheduling, and administration surrounding organizing a debate conference. Customers are finding the software to be a powerful yet easy-to-use tool that is replacing tedious methods of managing the complexities of a successful debate event.
Wellesley, MA, September 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- For the past 3 years, DebateWare.com has been developing an online tool to manage debate organizations, conferences, and debates. This software, named DebateNet, went into use by customers a year and a half ago. National high school and college debate organizations use DebateNet to manage their planning and administration needs.
DebateNet allows organizations to create events and conferences that contain many debates of different styles spread across multiple time blocks. The software also allows the administrator to designate chapters, which are smaller organizations such as schools that attend the conferences. Individual users belong to these chapters and can request positions in the debates that exist. For example, a convention attendee can request to debate the Pro side of a specific debate topic. As users request positions, the administrators can appoint users to specific positions. This makes it easy for the organization to fill the slots needed to run a successful convention - a task that was previously tedious and inaccurate.
Organizations are finding DebateNet to be a simple and affordable solution to all of their debate management needs. Customers will often have it customized to their specific needs, such as adding conference registration and payment as well as many other features. Integration with existing systems is possible, or it can stand-alone. It is hosted by DebateWare and does not require any technological experience for the customer to run.
DebateWare co-founder Ryan Speers says that the company is actively investigating developing a version of the software for use within a single school and he “encourages any interested schools and organizations to contact DebateWare to suggest features they think would be helpful.” He emphasizes that input from the end-users is extremely important and valued by the DebateWare development team, because “all our work is to make their jobs easier.”
