Rich Trefz Photography – Announces New Website Exhibiting Nature Photography
Rich Trefz Photography announces the launch of a new website which exhibits the photographer's nature and landscape portfolio. The portfolio features dramatic panoramas from the US southwest, east coast lighthouses, gardens and wildlife refuges.
Downingtown, PA, September 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Rich Trefz Photography announces the launch of a new website which exhibits the photographer's nature and landscape portfolio.
The portfolio has a wide range of subject matter, Rich explains: “The photographs are from the US Southwest region and the east coast wildlife refuges. They cover the almost alien landscape of canyons, hoodoos, and arches that comprise southern Utah. Also featured are inviting lighthouses, the fall colors of the Northeast, and the brilliant sunsets which bring the day to a close. The website includes some basic information on the locations photographed. There are also links to the location's website and the Google Map page showing the location”.
Over the years, friends and colleagues would repeatedly suggest that Rich find a way to share his photos with a wider audience and this website represents a way to make that dream a reality.
Rich relates how his interest grew: “My first experience with a camera was, as a early teen, following my wedding photographer uncle around and watching how he obtained the angles and the look that he wanted. Over the years, I used a variety of film based SLR's, but things really came together in the digital age when camera met PC. Digital photography allows me to be in control of the whole process, from taking the picture to developing/printing the final image”.
The marriage of camera and computer also allows dramatic panoramas to be created, Rich explains. “With the capabilities available in PC's today, multiple overlapping shots can be taken and merged later in the studio. This allows me to create 3' to 6' panoramic shots that take the viewer to the scene and recreate the feeling of being there in person. Both the incredible landscapes of Utah and the amazing sunsets at lighthouses and refuges benefit tremendously from a panorama treatment. It's hard to convey the visual impact of the Grand Canyon in a 4x6 shot“.
Rich is a member of NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals). His work has been featured in tourism magazines, including Pennsylvania Magazine and shown in Wildlife Refuge literature.
