Fairytale Brownies & Chris McMurry join forces for the 2002 Grand Am Racing Series
Chandler, AZ, October 01, 2001 --(PR.com)-- Fairytale Brownies will again sponsor Team Bucknam Racing with driver Chris McMurry at the wheel, this time in car #31. The new Pilbeam MP84 will make its first public appearance on October 7 at the 1,000-mile Petit Le Mans endurance race in Braselton, Georgia.
The team and the prototype 400 horsepower car built in Lincolnshire, England will participate in the 2002 Rolex Grand Am Road Racing Series in a 12-race series which will include tracks in Canada, New York, Connecticut, California, Florida, Arizona, and Wisconsin.
Unlike the Star Mazda Racing Series, the Grand Am series will require driver changes during the race and pit stops. Cars reach speeds of up to 180 mph and races can last as long as 24 hours!
