A respected name in seafood restaurants is casting a line in Scottsdale, AZ. Scottsdale residents and visitors can have a taste of more than 30 different varieties of fresh seafood when McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant opens its doors within The Shops at Gainey Village on Monday, Oct. 13, at 4 p.m. This will be the second McCormick & Schmick's in Arizona.

The 8,050 square-foot Scottsdale McCormick & Schmick's is located at 8777 North Scottsdale Road, at the intersection of North Scottsdale Road and Doubletree Ranch Road. The restaurant will seat approximately 300, including 60 for private dining, 60 in the bar and 32 on the outside patio.

In keeping with McCormick & Schmick’s tradition of offering only the freshest seafood available in season, the menu changes twice daily according to the types of fish delivered that day. The menu’s “Fresh List” showcases a selection of more than 30 seafood varieties in fresh that day and the wait staff is renowned for their encyclopedic seafood knowledge.

Examples of menu items include Kona Kampachi with grilled bok choy and orange vinaigrette, Sea Scallops with pea tendrils and spicy polenta with carrot chipotle sauce, Grilled Swordfish with sundried tomato caper butter, Yellowfin Ahi Tuna seared rare with nori roll and wasabi, and Grilled Halibut with cucumber dill riata. The restaurant will also feature an impressive raw bar.

In addition to being a leader in seafood quality, variety, preparation and service, McCormick & Schmick's menu features a generous offering of premium aged steaks, poultry, entrée salads and pasta, all focused on fresh ingredients.

Tim O’Neal, having served as executive chef at McCormick & Schmick’s in Phoenix since 2005, has personified the restaurant’s tradition of excellence and innovation and will now serve as executive chef for the new Scottsdale location. O’Neal’s culinary philosophy and personal passion for his craft reflect the growing trend toward healthier lifestyles. He believes that the key to a dynamic menu is offering outstanding freshness from start to finish and is thus known for his ability to source top-quality ingredients and find the finest in local organic produce to make the menu stand out.
