The 16 Week Challenge Announces "Meet the Contestants" Event in New York: Business Owners from Diverse Backgrounds to Compete on Internet Reality Show

New York, NY, September 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Andrew Morrison's The 16 Week Challenge™ announced today it will hold a special “meet the contestants” event and launch party in New York on Monday, September 29th, 2008. The event will be held at The Door on 508 Ninth Avenue (between 38th and 39th Streets) in Manhattan from 6:00-9:00pm. More information is available at www.16weekchallenge.com.

Sponsored in part by The Network Journal and Black Enterprise magazine, this will be a “Goal Setting” Party. Attendees are encouraged to bring their 16 week goals and become a part of the TV show. A birthday celebration for Andrew Morrison is also planned. Bennie Randall "aka the Motivator" is set to be the emcee, and there will be a performance by R&B soul sensation, Roz Shepard, and inspirational comments by leading motivational speakers. Celebrities in the areas of business, sports and entertainment will share their secrets to reaching their goals.

The 16 Week Challenge™ is a “live” internet reality show which follows several business owners as they struggle to reach their business goals in only 16 weeks, while creating an actual reality show for a major television network. This year marks the 2nd season for the show, and is set to begin on Tuesday, October 14th at 10pm EST at www.16weekchallenge.com.

During the first season, thousands of viewers watched as the host of the show, Andrew Morrison, an internationally recognized business coach and motivational speaker, inspired the contestants to increasingly higher levels of success. “As president of the Small Business Camp as well as the show’s creator and producer, I’ve worked with thousands of people from Hawaii to West Africa. The one thing I’ve discovered is that we all have ideas but very few of us are taking the necessary steps to put these ideas into action. This show will inspire others to start manifesting their dreams despite the lack of money, knowledge or connections.”

Unlike other reality TV competition/elimination type shows, no one is voted off the island or humiliated every week. “On the 16 Week Challenge, the small business owners are only competing against themselves,” explained Beth Meixner, President of the Moxxie Network.

The 16 Week Challenge contestants are supported by an international Brain Trust of volunteers from Hawaii to Germany. Over 250 professionals worked behind the scenes to support the contestants in the areas of video production, business development, manufacturing, finance and online marketing.
