Denver, CO, September 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Elizabeth Bublitz, owner and author of Pawfriendly Landscapes, will be on the Career Panel for Goodwill Youth Services on Friday, September 26, 2008 at George Washington High School at 655 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO 80224.
Bublitz, the creator of a national pet friendly landscape company, Pawfriendly Landscapes, will be on the panel for students who are freshman or sophomores who have been learning about different types of careers and job readiness skills. The Volunteer Coordinator will facilitate the panel by asking each panelist questions pertaining to their career. There will be time for students to ask questions that they have prepared.
Goodwill Industries of Denver's School to Work program provides comprehensive services to ensure that at-risk and disadvantaged youth graduate from high school with the life skills necessary to be successful, self-sufficient adults. They serve over 12,000 students every school year, and partner with over 20 high schools in the Denver Metro area. Volunteers make their program successful by sharing career knowledge with students as mock interviewers, guest speakers and mentors.
Bublitz became involved with Goodwill Industries program when the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC) approached her and asked if she would be on the panel. Pawfriendly Landscapes is a member of the ALCC. Bublitz explains, "The ALCC is one of the best organizations. They reach out to the community in so many ways and give back to their members. Every person in the ALCC is professional and treats every member with respect. I'm very honored I was approached by them to be on the panel. I hope to influence one student about turning dreams into reality - I was able to combine my two passions - plants and animals - how lucky am I?!"
