Elegance and Grace Return to The Inn at Rio Rancho
The newly restored Inn at Rio Rancho hosts a hors d'oeuvre and food-pairing seminar and tasting featuring Aha Toro tequila. The event takes place during Albuquerque’s famed International Balloon Fiesta.
Rio Rancho, NM, September 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Enjoy an Evening with Tequila Aha Toro.
On Wednesday, October 8, 2008, from 6PM to 7:30PM, the newly restored Inn at Rio Rancho (1465 Rio Rancho Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, 505-892-1700 or 1-800-658-9558), will host a hors d'oeuvre and food-pairing seminar and tasting featuring Aha Toro tequila. (Tickets are $25/person in advance, $30/person at the door.) The event will take place during the week of Albuquerque’s famed International Balloon Fiesta.
Personally hosting the tasting will be Sang Chae, owner of the Inn at Rio Rancho, and importer of tequila Aha Toro.
Known as the Panorama Inn in 1967, the hotel has undergone a near million-dollar facelift, and is the only full-service property in Rio Rancho.
Highlights include:
--The elegantly rejuvenated Round Up Restaurant with a delectable new menu...
--The exclusive and trendy Tequila Bar. Both have charming views of the Sandia Mountains to the east...
--A spacious atrium and lobby recreated in a stunning Mayan motif by world-renowned artist, Gogwhen Lee...
--Fully functional convention and meeting facilities along with 118 plush rooms for your enjoyment.
"My goal is to make this property something the citizens of Rio Rancho can be proud of," says Chae. His golden rule for refurbishing all his properties, he declares, is to meet the quality standards he would like for his own family.
The same quality rule applies to Sang’s Aha Toro tequila brand.
In the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Aha Toro is carefully created on a family owned 19th century hacienda. Distilled from 100% estate grown blue weber agave, it is available in three varietals, blanco (unaged), reposado (aged in oak barrels from 6-12 months), and añejo (aged for 12-18 months).
Echoing sentiments from one of his partners, Sang agrees, "We wanted a premium tequila…the best we could find. We see our product as similar to a single malt scotch or cognac."
He adds, "Aha Toro is something you sip slowly."
James Garrigan, Executive Chef at the Inn at Rio Rancho and Round Up Restaurant, and his staff will pair Aha Toro with fresh vegetables, smoky meats and cheeses, and sweet desserts among other delights.
"Each hors d'oeuvre will be designed to bring out the elevation, climate and soil—terroir--that influence the flavor in each marque of this brilliant and versatile spirit," explains Garrigan.
Guiding guests through their tequila experience that evening will be noted New Mexico tequila journalist and expert, Mike Morales.
