Baga Beach Clean-Up - World Tourism Day

Goa, India, September 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Baia Do Sol Beach Resort cleaned Baga Beach (Goa, India) to celebrate World Tourism Day on 27 September 2008. The management and staff of the hotel helped collect 14 bags of garbage including plastic, paper, packaging material and bottles along the beach along the Baga river and the Arabian sea.

The General Manager of the resort, Mr. Elvis Franco along with the staff displayed team effort, acting upon the theme of this year's World Tourism Day - "Tourism Responding to the Challenge of Climate Change".

"Cleaning the beach is a great way to take care of our fragile marine environment", said Mr. Baba Naik, owner of Baia Do Sol. He said "It is the responsibility of all stake holders in the tourism - hoteliers, restaurants,
taxi / bus operators and tourists should strive to keep the surroundings clean in association with the authorities."
