Georgia Church Champions Autism Cure

Stonemill Race for Autism.

Suwanee, GA, September 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- With seven consecutive races under their belt, the Stonemill Race for Autism Team (formerly Sugarloaf 5K), knows how to put on a successful race. This year's event includes the Classic Stonemill 5K and has expanded to include a Community Fair, 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, and a Tot Trot. For the second year, the start and finish will be at the state-of-the-art Stonemill Church campus. New to the race this year is the partnership with The Autism Society of America-Greater Georgia Chapter and SPECTRUM Autism Support Group. With autism being the fastest-growing developmental disability, affecting 1 in 150 births each year and Stonemill Church pioneers the way for community business members, school partners, and religious organizations to fight for a cure.

In addition to the classic 5K, this year's will event also feature a Community Fair including food, entertainment, inflatables and other activities for the kids, vendors, and more. There is a Tot Trot planned for children 2 thru 5 years old, and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk for older children and adults. The Community Fair will be available for all to enjoy until noon.
