Genetic Performance Solutions Launches Online Registry Service
San Antonio, TX, October 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Genetic Performance Solution, LLC (GPS) is excited to announce that the new online registry service of the Braunvieh Association of America (BAA) is being provided and maintained by GPS. The GPS advanced real time registry program will allow the Braunvieh Association members to do their own registration, enrollments, and transfers, pull reports and edit data. With the GPS Registry Program any member with a computer that has Internet capability can log on to BAA site and access their entire herd’s records regardless of their location.
The advantage of this program for BAA is that BAA registry records will be maintained in the GPS registry program using a server at Rackspace, thus no capital expenditures are required to buy special hardware, computers, servers or dedicated lines. “It is anticipated that the expenses associated with registry services and data management operations for the Braunvieh Association will be reduced significantly as members shift to entering their own data as opposed to staff performing that function,” said Dr. Joseph Massey, CEO of GPS.
GPS is providing a one-stop approach to servicing beef breed associations wanting a highly cost effective, state-of -the-art registry program and data analysis services. BAA will be joining the Red Angus Association of America (RAAA) and the International Brangus Breeders (IBBA) in a multi-breed EPD analysis.
Genetic Performance Solutions is a standalone company currently owned by two breed associations, RAAA and IBBA, located in San Antonio, Texas. GPS mission is to provide a real time registry program and data management services to beef breed associations. Currently three beef breed associations are utilizing GPS services including Brangus, Braunvieh and Red Angus. GPS is currently in discussions with several other breed associations.
