Peterborough, NH, October 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The NH High Technology Council today announced that it has extended the Speed Venture Summit™ presenter application deadline to October 15, to accommodate surging demand among entrepreneurs to pitch their growth stories . “In light of the robust interest, we thought it only fair to extend the application deadline by almost two weeks to promote fair consideration of businesses that have only just learned of the Summit,” commented Summit Chair Hollis McGuire, director of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center for Manchester and Nashua. “The goals of the Summit will best be met,” McGuire continued, “if we bring capital together with the most suitable and exciting companies.”

“We are committed to make this Summit the best possible for both executives and investors,” said Tim Platt, marketing producer for the Summit. “Widening the application net like this will enable us to better serve our ‘Real Time/Real Investors™’ mission,” Platt said.

The Speed Venture Summit will feature businesses seeking investment capital pitching directly to top investors on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, NH.

Participating businesses will represent all sectors and development stages, from start-up to later-stage and will “speed pitch” to the region’s savviest and shrewdest investors, ranging from individuals and Angels to venture capital firms and private equity and mezzanine financers. Organizers expect that a total of approximately 50 companies will speed-pitch to 25 different investor groups in private 1:1 sessions throughout the afternoon.

Following the speed venturing segment, the Summit will feature a public business networking session that will include a pitch-off among the day’s top presenting companies.

The application deadline for presenting companies has been extended from the original date of tomorrow to the new extended deadline of Wednesday October 15, 2008.
