Vinx Reaches Out to Fans for Help with "Memoirs"
Recording artist and educator Vinx is reaching out to his fans to fund his next album, Volume 1 of 4 of "50 Memoirs of a Hip Ole' Black Man."
Los Angeles, CA, October 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- International recording artist and Berklee College of Music educator Vinx is reaching out to his worldwide fan base to help finance what he calls his “best recording to date”; a 4 volume set of 50 new songs and an online book entitled ”50 Memoirs Of A Hip Ole’ Black Man.” He is also hoping to add a DVD to the offering as well. The project will be released on his own Dreamsicle Recordings label.
Vinx thought of this project as a way to celebrate his “semi-centennial” birthday in December 2007 and now is at a point where the mixing, mastering and the all-important promotion come into place. As opposed to previous self released albums, Vinx decided he wanted to record and market this one in a way that will truly allow for maximum exposure, thus enabling him to get back to many of the cities he has not played since he toured following his breakthrough, critically acclaimed release “Rooms In My Fatha’s House.”
Fans who donate for Volume 1 of “50 Memoirs” can choose from various levels ranging in price from $100 to $10,000 and receive packages that include free advanced digital downloads, signed advance copies, Junior Executive Producer credits, personalized t-shirts, access to exclusive audio and video content, concert passes and house concerts.
“The support of my fans is always what has inspired me the most, so now I thought it would be a great idea to give them something in return for their generosity,” said the deep South, McRae, Georgia resident, who is also hoping the response from this recording brings additional exposure to his other projects, such as his Georgia Artists Exchange and Songwriter Soul Kitchen retreats that help both his rural community and independent musicians/songwriters through various collaborative and educational projects.
Fans can contribute to “50 Memoirs” and pick a level they feel comfortable with at www.vinx.com or e-mail his manager, Steve Brown at steve@shbmusicgroup.com for more details.
