Suspected Burglar Arrested at Taco Time After Audio Sensors Detect Break-in
Portland, OR, October 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A Sonitrol Pacific operator gave police the information they needed to catch a suspected burglar at a Portland Taco Time after audio sensors detected the break-in.
Award winning operator Michael Young received an impact-activated audio alert from the restaurant and heard sounds of movement. He immediately dispatched police.
This facility suffers from a history of criminal activity and Portland Police responded in force to quickly surround the building. The suspected burglar attempted to evade apprehension, but police took him into custody as soon as he exited the building.
Officers believe the man got inside by squeezing through security bars covering the restaurant's drive-up window.
The police response to Sonitrol Pacific’s call was so fast, the suspect only had time to grab about $28 in quarters.
