Chilkoot Indian Association Selects the SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System for Tribal Leadership Training Program

SyberWorks, a leader in custom e-Learning Solutions and the Learning Management System industry, announced today that they signed a contract with Alaska’s Chilkoot Indian Association, to operate their tribal leadership training program using the SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System.

Waltham, MA, October 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Robert Whitcomb, Director of Human Resources for the Chilkoot Indian Association, states, “The Chilkoot Indian Association recognized its need for leadership training, to prepare Native members for management roles in Tribal government. The Chilkoot Indian Association was awarded a grant through the Administration for Native Americans to purchase a software tool to help with this effort.

“We needed a system that would allow us to define and program our required skills and job competencies, so that we could create training programs and track and manage employee development. Since we are a membership association, we did not have the IT infrastructure to support taking the software license in-house, so we decided to use the SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System.”

Whitcomb continues, “SyberWorks was very responsive to our needs from the evaluation process through implementation, and this has remained the case since purchase. We really liked the fact that SyberWorks promptly returned calls and worked to address our specific needs very quickly throughout the process.”

Dave Boggs, CEO of SyberWorks, states, “Competency management is a critical part of most job training programs. The SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System is a cost-effective option for many organizations because the functionality for competency management, surveys, and seminar/class logistics are included in the price.”
