Motivate 4 Success Exhibits at the 28th Annual CAADAC Conference

San Clemente, CA, October 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- October 2nd 2008 was the opening for the 28th CAADAC Conference in Ontario California. Motivate 4 Success was an Exhibitor at the conference along with about 40 other exhibitors. The counselors who participated in this conference really showed enthusiasm and excitement for the Recovery Coach program. For many, this was their first introduction to an aftercare program that filled the space left after treatment or counseling sessions.

Regardless of if you believe Addiction is a disease or not, the fact remains that it takes a long time to change the behaviors, thinking, and emotional responses learned in years of using and abusing. Having a coach allows individuals to consistently have someone who understands where they are to work with. Counselors and educators were impressed with the unique and novel methods of building Network and community that Motivate 4 Success programs offered.

The seniors program (Designed for individuals who are 55 and up) was extremely impactful. Statistically, treatment providers are receiving more calls from seniors than ever before, and the numbers keep rising. Problems with alcohol and prescription drugs are becoming more of an issue. Seniors require more time and different techniques than 18 year olds. Many counselors are frustrated, and were fascinated with a new opportunity to really work with this population.

Over all, the idea that they could continue the one on one that clients had gotten comfortable with was a tremendous boost. Both independent and those working in facilities are faced with a major difficulty as past clients are begging for time that is allocated to new clients. Counselors are stretched thin, and there are few options for their clients.

CAADAC has 1,678 full members, plus about 1500 student members and about 1700 “recovery workers” (aides), and that CAADAC is one of nine competing organizations of addiction counselors in California.
