Dave Christi with Cumulus Grand Junction Named as Finalist in National 2006 Radio-Mercury Awards
Creative Service Director’s ad chosen as finalist in prestigious award from the Radio Creative Fund which honors effective and creative Radio commercials.
Grand Junction, CO, May 21, 2006 --(PR.com)-- When the Radio Creative Fund recently announced their finalists for their 2006 Radio Mercury Awards, Dave Christi, the Creative Service Director for Cumulus Grand Junction, found himself on the list.
“For me,” said Christi, “this is the “Oscars” of Radio advertising. I know it sounds cliché, but it really is an honor just to be chosen as a finalist.”
The chosen ad, “A to Z of Signs”, was a sixty second spot written and produced by Christi for Grand Junction’s “Your Sign Company”. The ad is a finalist in the Radio-Station Produced Category.
As a finalist, Christi will be attending the awards luncheon in New York on June 8, 2006. The luncheon will be attended by representatives for some of the largest ad agencies in the nation including DDB Chicago, Foote Cone & Belding NY, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
Finalists in the Radio-Station Produced Category include Salem Radio Los Angeles, Clear Channel Creative Services Group and Clear Channel Phoenix, Entercom Seattle and Portland, Bend Radio Group, Univision Radio, Zimmer Radio Group – Joplin, and Cumulus of Grand Junction.
This is Cumulus Grand Junction and Dave Christi’s first time as a finalist in the Radio-Mercury Awards.
