Words to Live By Tees launched it first positive message t-shirt line earlier this August. Women around the country are now wearing the shirts as a reminder to live empowered lives. Hart believes in evoking change on a personal and a universal level. “This year, we chose My Sisters Place DC as our advocacy partner because of its dedication to eradicating intimate partner violence and to empowering women to take control of their own lives,” Hart added.
The B. The Revolution End Abuse Project (www.btherevolution.com) hosts events to increase Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention on college campuses and to assist our community partners. Through events such as the Partners for Peace Silent March, and Slam Poetry With a Purpose, which will be held October 24th in Washington DC; and the awareness rally, Tee Party for Change, held on October 25th, the college community will be exposed to key note speakers and information designed to offer strategies on how we can prevent domestic violence and eradicate it from our lives.
