Tampa, FL, October 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Representative Bryan Nelson took the opportunity to visit and study the programs offered by Central Florida Institute (CFI) and Roadmaster Drivers School of Orlando, Florida last week. Representative Nelson was warmly welcomed by both CFI and Roadmaster students and staff. He discussed the benefits that post-secondary short-term training schools have for both his Orange County District (District 38) and the state of Florida. He was able to tour both facilities with CFI Orlando School Director, Richard Covington and Roadmaster School Director, Ed Mocek.
Mr. Covington remarked, “We were pleased to host Representative Bryan Nelson at our campuses. We appreciate his heart for helping people achieve better employment opportunities through career training. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to share information about our schools with him!”
Representative Bryan Nelson passed a bill in the 2008 session that addresses post-secondary training options for students. The bill was specifically written to offer testing options for those who need college alternatives for a successful career. He credited training schools like Roadmaster Drivers School and CFI for allowing students to get in to their career fields quickly with the skills they need to find employment.
Career Path Training is the parent company of CFI and Roadmaster. CFI is a licensed and accredited professional medical and dental training school that prepares Florida’s workforce for the allied health field. CFI has campuses in both Palm Harbor and Orlando, Florida.
Roadmaster Drivers School of Orlando, one of 9 truck driving schools nationwide, has a 3 to 4-week program that teaches students how to safely drive a truck. Truck driver training students are offered the chance to learn the information they need to pass a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Exam, necessary for a CDL that is needed prior to employment.
