Raleigh, NC, October 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Erika Mangrum, co-chair of Raleigh’s Speaking of Women’s Health Conference (www.swhraleigh.com) and CEO of Aesthetic and Medical Practices, LLC (www.aestheticmedicalpro.com), has announced that Lori Lee, executive director of Me Fine Foundation, was recognized as the organization’s Friend for Life Honoree on Sept. 27 at the 2008 conference held at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Lee was nominated and chosen for the award based on her dedication to Me Fine Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to parents and caregivers sacrificing their livelihoods in order to provide their children with state-of-the-art, or even last-chance medical treatment at Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals. She received a $3000 grant from Speaking of Women’s Health which she has chosen to allocate to Wake Med’s Just for Kids Kampaign. The Just for Kids Kampaign is a $20 million fundraising effort to support an expansion of pediatric services at Wake Med Children’s Hospital.
