San Mateo, CA, October 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- European Broadcast Premieres in Poland and Sweden also in October.

Horn Productions, Inc. announced today that its ground-breaking film, Finding the Words: Recovering from Autism, a documentary about children recovering from autism, will have its Midwest screening debut at The Motherbaby Film Festival in Traverse City, Michigan on October 16, 2008. The hour-long doc delivers a new and welcome message to parents and clinicians: recovery from autism is possible. For more information about the film please visit www.findingthewords.org.

According to Diana Paul, Executive Director of Safe Femme and Founder of the Motherbaby International Film Festival, “Finding the Words: Recovering from Autism is an important film for new parents to see because it explores a whole new way of thinking about autism. We are pleased to be the first to bring this remarkable film, and the new paradigm of autism it introduces, to attendees at the first Midwestern Motherbaby event.”

Elizabeth Horn, president of Horn Productions and the film’s producer/director, said, “Our film investigates a medical mystery through the eyes of the families and their inspired doctors who are working hard to rewrite the future for autistic children. Finding the Words: Recovering from Autism is a story for anyone open to its simple message: Never give up on your kids!”

The film is also making its European broadcast premier in October when it is aired in both Poland and Sweden. “Interest is really high,” according to the film’s distributor, Doug Zwick, president of Specialty Studios Entertainment, “since the worldwide epidemic of autism, and the new treatments available, are creating a lot of press.”

Finding the Words: Recovering from Autism presents a new view of autism that is uncharacteristically optimistic,” said producer/director Elizabeth Horn. “It takes you on a journey from tragedy to triumph, and invites other parents to follow a similar path to get their children well again. It’s a film about hope, but it also provides practical solutions for addressing the various physiological disorders and implementing specific interventions that typically affect many autistic children.”
