Peterborough, NH, October 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The NH High Technology Council and NH Small Business Development Center today announced that they are oversubscribed with applications for the Speed Venture Summit™ from both businesses and investors.
“In this tough economic climate, we are delighted that New England’s business and financial communities see so much value in the Summit,” said Tim Platt, marketing producer for the Summit. With its mission of Real Time/Real Investors™, the Speed Venture Summit will feature companies seeking investment capital pitching directly to top investors on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, NH.
“The market has spoken, and they like what we are offering,” commented Summit Chair Hollis McGuire, director of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center for Manchester and Nashua. “Now we must deliver, and that involves a lot of hard work by our volunteers to match companies with suitable capital sources and a host of other logistics.
While the private speed-venturing segment has sold out, there are still some openings for the public networking session that begins at 5 PM, according to Julie Gustafson, the Summit’s PR Director. “The ‘buzz’ surrounding the Summit is strong, and getting louder. The presence of many high-profile business leaders will add excitement and energy to the Summit’s focus on being the premier resource for growing businesses.”
Participating companies will represent all sectors and development stages, from start-up to later-stage and will “speed pitch” to the region’s savviest and shrewdest investors, ranging from individuals and Angels to venture capital firms and private equity and mezzanine financers. Organizers expect that a total of approximately 50 companies will speed-pitch to 25 different investor groups in private 1:1 sessions throughout the afternoon. Following the speed venturing segment, the Summit will feature a public business networking session that will include a pitch-off among the day’s top presenting companies.
