Infor Announces Expanded Relationship with Microsoft to Sell and Service Microsoft SQL Server

Relationship Provides Single Point of Contact, Significantly Lowers Total Cost of Ownership.

Atlanta, GA, October 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Infor today announced it will package and sell Microsoft SQL Server with Infor’s business-specific enterprise applications that run on the SQL Server platform. The expanded relationship with Microsoft provides Infor customers a single point of contact for sales, maintenance and support, in addition to a pricing advantage for the software.

“Nearly 50 percent of our customers have deployed Infor solutions on Microsoft SQL Server,” said Dennis Michalis, senior vice president, global partners, Infor. “This new program will create new value and lower total cost of ownership for our customers by making it easier for them to acquire and deploy Infor software that uses Microsoft SQL Server.”

Infor’s direct sales team and channel partners can now sell and distribute Microsoft SQL Server to customers who purchase SQL Server-enabled applications. Previously, companies who did not have SQL Server would need to purchase the software separately from Microsoft or a licensed dealer, adding complexity associated with managing multiple IT vendors. Infor’s service and maintenance team will support SQL Server as well as Infor’s software.
