NiRo Couture Ribbon Cutting & Launch Party

Hartford, CT, October 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- NiRo Design Center opened their doors on September 4, 2007 in the heart of downtown Hartford to service the needs of Greater Hartford youth looking for a creative outlet. The Design Center targets teenagers craving an outlet and provides them with an opportunity to take classes and learn a vocation trade in the fashion industry. Courses included merchandising, design, sewing and modeling, business entrepreneurship, sales, public speaking, image, marketing, and much, much more. The confidence and varied skill sets they obtain cannot be easily matched through other after school programs. Students even have the opportunity of selling their one-of-a-kind designs in the school’s store and can retain the profits. This entrepreneurship provides them with a sense of confidence that can open many doors.

Following the success of the Design Center, the owners decided to have set their sights on turning downtown Hartford, Connecticut into the next fashion hotspot with the opening of NiRo Couture. NiRo Couture is a niche store that concentrates on the needs of a particular set of customers – the fashion forward client looking for a personalized shopping experience at affordable prices. NiRo is quickly gaining the reputation as the authority on the hottest fashions from runways around the world. It will not be long before NiRo Couture reins as the go-to clothier for the latest, freshest and most exclusive designs anywhere in Connecticut.

As a contemporary women and men’s specialty boutique, NiRo Couture carries clothing, shoes, purses, belts and accessories. NiRo strives to bring a mix of up-and-coming designers as well as more established designers to the fashion-forward customer. The mix includes designers and labels from all over the world, including New York, LA and London.

The Ribbon Cutting will begin at 5:30 pm and be performed by State Representative Doug McCrory and Hartford’s Small Business Specialist Vanessa Williams. The Red Carpet Launch party will immediately follow until 10 pm with a sneak preview of the exclusive designer line-ups. A portion of the proceeds for the month of October will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation benefiting breast cancer research and prevention and the NiRo Foundation supporting youth interested in design.
