Nissan Family Day Helps Support Community Local Organizations Donate Time for Fundraising

Boothbay Harbor, ME, October 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Fundraising doesn’t always have to be a difficult prospect. At the recent Nissan Family Day celebration in Smyrna, Tennessee, five local groups found a way to have fun and help raise funds for their organizations as well.

Volunteers from Lavergne High School Air Force Junior ROTC, Blackman High School Air Force Junior ROTC, Smyrna ROTC, Smyrna Baseball and the Giles Creek Baptist Church groups provided about 70 volunteers each to work the family day celebration with its carnival theme and activities galore.

In exchange for volunteers staffing the event in such areas as game booths, children’s activities and concessions area, each organization received a donation of approximately $3000.
