Scott Hall Joins Virginia Beach Economic Development Department as Coordinator of Business Development Programs

Virginia Beach, VA, October 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The City of Virginia Beach Economic Development Department announced today the hiring of Scott Hall to fill their newly created position of Business Development Coordinator. He will be responsible for managing the department’s business attraction and retention activities.

Hall has thirteen years of professional economic development experience with the City of Chesapeake and the former Peninsula Alliance for Economic Development. He also served for more than seven years as a Surface Warfare Officer for the United States Navy.

Hall’s experience includes extensive travel to Asia, South America and Europe in support of global business recruitment activities. He has directed programs for research, small business development, business retention and attraction, and strategic planning. He has also served on five advisory services panels for the Urban Land Institute across the country.

Hall is a 1985 graduate of Marshall University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He received his Master of Urban Studies degree from Old Dominion University in 1999.yesvirginiabeach.com
