Wixom, MI, October 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- For nearly two of the four decades Amigo Mobility has been in business, Scott Chappell has been with the company helping give people their independence back.

In 1989, Chappell started his career at Amigo Mobility International, Inc. in telemarketing sales. One year later, he became a mobility consultant at the Amigo Mobility Center – a retail store at the company headquarters in Bridgeport, Mich. By 1995, Chappell was named manager of the store which gave him the experience to open the new Amigo Mobility Center in Wixom, Mich., October 2008.

“The Wixom location is a way to bring the Amigo factory to our customers,” Chappell says. “Amigo Mobility has built a reputation of quality products and quality service, and I am proud to bring that to our customers in this area.”

Chappell says the healthcare industry is tough today, but Amigo Mobility continues to come up with innovative products to bring to the market. Recently, Amigo introduced a new active lifestyle product line for people who need a mobility aid when going on vacation or for occasional use. The TravelMate is one of the active lifestyle products – it is light weight, easy to maneuver and comes apart into three pieces for easy transport with the heaviest piece only weighing 23 lbs.

Sales associate Randy Howard, 40, of Howell, works with Chappell at the Wixom location. Howard has 12 years of experience in the mobility industry, including the University of Michigan Hospital in the wheelchair and seating department and Carolina Health Systems in North Carolina.

The Amigo Mobility Center is located at 29798 Wixom Road, Wixom, Mich. They provide service for all brands of powered mobility, offer competitive battery prices, install lifts in cars and vans and have low rental rates. Call 1-877-312-6446 for more information.
