Kids On Broadway Features Two Tevyes in "Fiddler"

It is rare to have a theatrical cast that features a gifted male lead. Kids on Broadway can boast of having two actors from very different ethnic backgrounds, one a Russian Jew and the other an African American Gentile. Both of them will be sharing the coveted role of Tevye in the fall production of "Fiddler on the Roof."

Santa Cruz, CA, October 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Damian Hull-Williams, the original person cast as Tevye, is African American. He is the seasoned veteran having already been featured in three other Kids On Broadway productions, the latest being the lead in "Beauty and the Beast."

Damian realized after watching Topol in the movie version of the story that Tevye has the juiciest part in the show. "Let's face it, Tevye is Hilarious! And the emotions I would get to convey? Priceless."

Albert "Avi" Tutman is the other actor portraying Tevye. Tutman has taken part in Actors Theatre Young Playwrights Festival for two seasons prior to his involvement with Kids on Broadway. The role of Tevye is dear to Avi's heart as his own parents are Jewish and his mother Milla is originally from the Ukraine. According to Tutman, "Acting allows me to express myself in so many ways. I am having a fabulous time being part of the KOB family."

To see either Damian or Avi perform live on stage is something not to be missed. The performances for "Fiddler on the Roof" run from November 7-23, 2008, at Louden Nelson Community Center in Santa Cruz. For tickets and showtimes, please call (831) 425-3455 or click on www.kidsonbroadway.org.
