Copernicus Group IRB Announces New Incoming CEO
Research Triangle Park, NC, October 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Copernicus Group IRB (“CGIRB”) announced today the appointment of Mr. Bruce Tomason as its new Chief Executive Officer replacing Ms. Sharon Hill Price. Ms. Price, who founded CGIRB in 1996, will remain active at CGIRB as a Senior Advisor and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors while pursuing outside interests.
Mr. Tomason has extensive experience in managing and investing in businesses in emerging healthcare markets. He possesses over 30 years of operational experience in senior staff and line positions complemented by a successful record of private company healthcare investments. Among the companies he has worked for are Organon Inc., Evans Healthcare Ltd, a division of Glaxo, and One Call Medical, Inc. Mr. Tomason has also served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies including Pozen, Inc., serving there from 1997 to October, 2008.
Mr. Tomason received his BA in economics from Seton Hall University and was awarded his MBA from Columbia University. Mr. Tomason currently serves on both the Board of Regents and the Board of Trustees at Seton Hall.
