Infor Public Sector Experiences Strong Momentum of Hansen 8 Software
Governments and Municipalities Select Software for its Robust Functionality and Ease of Implementation.
Atlanta, GA, October 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Infor Public Sector today announced strong momentum in the adoption of its Hansen 8 software for government and municipal agencies and departments. Worldwide, more than 45 new and existing customers recently selected or implemented Hansen version 8 including Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District, Colo., the Canadian province of New Brunswick, and the cities of Calgary, Alberta, Mount Prospect, Ill., and Sherwood, Ore. Infor Public Sector’s Hansen software is used by more than 450 cities, counties, states, and provinces in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States to increase operational efficiency, citizen satisfaction, government accountability, and process transparency.
Hansen 8’s Web-based capabilities, powerful workflow engine, extensive flexibility, and enhanced GIS integration are key drivers in the adoption of the solution. The solution is service oriented architecture enabled for more powerful integration with other systems and provides a lower cost of infrastructure support. Further driving momentum of Hansen 8 is the ease of implementation and the resources and tools provided by Infor Public Sector to assist agencies with their software implementations.
“In only five weeks we were able to upgrade our systems to Hansen 8 and quickly take advantage of the software’s rich functionality and lower total cost of ownership,” said Scott Morse, assistant manager, Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District, located near Littleton, Colo. “With its graphical interface, the software is easy to navigate, which meant internal and field personnel were able to quickly learn it without spending countless hours in training. Hansen 8 has completely changed the way we manage our business processes and interact with our citizens, vastly improving our productivity and operational efficiency in all areas.”
Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District will also use the software to support its green initiatives, significantly reducing the amount of paper used. Hansen 8 integrates with the department’s laptop computers, so field workers are now able to receive, process, change, complete, and submit work orders remotely and without paper. In addition to the environmental benefits, work orders are processed more quickly, and by eliminating manual data entry, errors are significantly reduced. The software stores all data from the work orders in a centralized location for analysis, allowing the department’s maintenance workers to complete their work using virtually no paper.
“Governments and municipalities are feeling increased pressure from their citizens to reduce operational costs, increase reliability of assets, and improve customer service levels,” said Bob Benstead, vice president, strategic planning, Infor Public Sector. “With Infor Public Sector’s Hansen 8 software, departments are able to accomplish those goals and provide new services, like 24 hour citizen interaction with the robust DynamicPORTALTM, technology that enables citizens to conduct their business with government agencies over the Internet.”
