Corey Feldman Launches New Label, Cifi Records, to Release New Truth Movement Album November 25th
Los Angeles, CA, October 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Actor/ Producer, Director, Musician Corey Feldman is branching out and adding Record Label Owner to his list of credits. Developed initially for the launch of the newest "Truth Movement" album, Cifi Records will also eventually re-release all of Corey’s previous albums.
"The Truth Movement" is a Pink Floyd inspired homage to classic rock, and is comprised of a group of veteran Los Angeles musicians; Rob Heskin (guitars/writer) Chuck Irwin (drums/writer) and Randy Kubota (Bass), and features contributions by Mark Karan of the Grateful Dead sub band Rat Dog and Pink Floyd’s Jon Carin and Scotty Page (saxophonist 86-89). The album also features European pop star Nina Kristen on "Crossed The Line", and was executive produced by "The Wizards of Oz" the Austrialian production team whose previous works include Avril Lavigne and Brittany Spears. The band is fronted by Feldman as vocalist and songwriter, and the album cover is designed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson, who designed numerous album covers including the infamous Pink Floyd; Dark Side Of The Moon cover with its iconic refracting prism.
The group’s namesake is a tribute to Corey's desire to write and perform with honesty and a goal to advocate the truth Titled "Technology Analogy" the album is the bands 2nd release and consists of 13 tracks. The album tells a story, it has a beginning, middle, and an end but is full circle, it will leave you exactly where you started. The album reflects on the pros and cons of computer technology and how it is integrated into today’s society. How did it begin? Where did science derive from? And will communication and social interaction inevitably suffer from its evolution. These are the themes "Technology Analogy" seeks to explore.
The album is set for release on November 25th, and was recorded in 5.1 Dolby digital and mastered at Capitol Records on the exact same board Dark Side of the Moon was created on. The album moves like a train moving through musical soundscape of classic rock, R&B style songs, fused with trance/electronica and an atmosphere creating a musical journey for the listener unlike any sounds heard together before.
Technology Analogy's first single "Green is the Colour" featuring Jon Carin, is a song about the environment and can be heard as a free listen on Corey's website. The song is already creating buzz on the internet, with environmental groups adopting it as their theme song.
The album was made with special 100% biodegradeable materials including recycleable paper, soy ink, and even a corn plastic disc tray. So essentially you could throw it in the ocean and it will just go back to nature.
The album is now available for Pre-Order through Corey's web site www.CoreyFeldman.net
