DAVACO’S Rick Davis Named to SMU Executive Board. CEO of Leading Retail Services Provider to Serve Cox School of Business

During his three year term, Davis will be responsible for working with other board members to provide guidance on specific initiatives and improvement programs related to the Cox School of Business (http://www.cox.smu.edu/home).

Rick Davis currently serves as the chief executive officer of DAVACO, where he is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the company. Originally known as Fixture Perfect International (FPI), Davis founded the company in 1990 to meet the unique needs of retailers. Under his leadership, the company has achieved double-digit average annual growth and has been named six times to the Dallas 100 by the Curuth Institute for Entrepreneurship at SMU’s Cox School of Business. Davis was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000 and 2006 and inducted into the Retail Construction Hall of Fame in 2006. He currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Salvation Army. Prior to DAVACO, he was a Dallas-based developer of commercial and residential properties.
