Urban American Outdoors Wins 2008 MIDI Award for Excellence in Programming
Urban American Outdoors is awarded 2008 MIDI Award from Mid-America Cable Telecommunications Association.
Overland Park, KS, October 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Urban American Outdoors (UAO) was honored with the MIDI Award for Community Programming on September 24, 2008 at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Mid America Cable Telecommunications Association at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
The Mid-America Cable Telecommunications Associations presents the annual MIDI Awards to showcase and honor excellence in Cable Programming, Advertising and Marketing. Many of the National Cable Networks had exhibits and were in attendance, such as NBC Universal, A&E, HBO, and Lifetime to name a few along with members of the six regional states, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.
Urban American Outdoors which airs on Time Warner Cable's Metro Sports winning show was "High Octane The Chase" featuring The NASCAR Race at the Kansas Speedway. Wayne Hubbard Host and Producer stated, "I am so excited at winning this fantastic award for this show which featured a unique perspective of experiencing the pure excitement of being at a premiere race at the Kansas Speedway with Jeff Boerger, the CEO and President of the Speedway and his great staff.
Urban American Outdoors (UAO) is an award winning television program based out of Kansas City and was created by outdoorsman Wayne Hubbard. It is a Reality Sports Adventure show that airs locally, nationally as well as internationally. UAO has mass cross over appeal reaching the traditional outdoors market as well as the underserved communities. The show not only shares the enjoyment of being outdoors, it also educates and tells the importance of conservation and preserving the heritage of the outdoors lifestyle which includes hunting, fishing, motorsports, scuba diving, skiing, boating from a different perspective.
