Peak Beam Systems, Inc. Lights Up U.S.-Mexico Border
Computer-Controlled Maxa Beam Searchlights Provide Powerful Illumination for U.S. Border Patrol.
Edgemont, PA, October 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Peak Beam Systems, Inc., manufacturer of high-intensity Maxa Beam searchlights, announced today that the company has shipped twenty-four Remote-Control Searchlight Systems for Border Surveillance to the U.S Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector. The waterproof Maxa Beam systems will be mounted onto a series of towers along the border and will be controlled via computer with a new Graphical User Interface (GUI) by Border Patrol Agents in a remote location.
The new GUI control panel allows operators to control multiple searchlights using IP addresses. The interface shows the real-time status of each connected searchlight and agents on several computers can simultaneously control the searchlights’ beam level, beam width and strobe rate.
The Remote-Control Maxa Beam Searchlight Systems feature up to 12 million candlepower output, a 3000m range of illumination, and an effective non-lethal strobe function. The searchlights are mounted on pan/tilt devices along with day/night cameras and sensors, giving the U.S. Border Patrol Agents a powerful tool as they work to keep the U.S. border secure.
