California Mom Rocks the Airwaves with Momz Rock the House Radio Show
Mom, Janeane Bernstein, has been rocking the airwaves at KUCI 88.9fm with her show Momz Rock the House, showcasing women in the arts and has now launched Momzrockthehouse.com.
Irvine, CA, October 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Moms rocking out in bands, playing the drums, learning electric guitar and then getting airplay? Who would have thought Moms would have a forum for their art, but now Janeane Bernstein has made it her mission for women to be heard. She is the Regional Coordinator of Mamapalooza in Orange County, CA., an international music festival showcasing women in the arts founded by Executive Director Joy Rose. Bernstein began hosting her own radio show Momz Rock the House at KUCI 88.9fm in Irvine, CA. almost two years ago, playing mom bands, solo artists, and comediennes from around the globe.
Most recently, she launched Momzrockthehouse.com, with the help of designer and mommy rocker Judy Davids of the Detroit band The Mydols. Momzrockthehouse.com is a podcast show featuring women artists and industry experts talking about everything from their careers in music, to tips on going green and the challenges of getting your kids to eat healthy.
“Independent women artists need to be heard,” Bernstein says with a passion. “The Momz Rock the House show is a great way for artists to get airplay and also play live at the KUCI studios in Orange County, CA.” Most recently, she has interviewed Kathy Valentine of the Go Gos, Taylor Dane, Emily Wagner of Motherhoodlum, Tish Ciravolo founder of Daisy Rock Guitars, Judy Davids of the Mydols and grammy-nominated artist Meredith Brooks who performed live at the UCI Campus for Bernstein’s “Mamapalooza Rocks the OC!” Festival in May 2008.
CDs and e-mails keep coming in and the roster of talent for Bernstein’s live and podcast show keep growing. To hear it live, listener's outside of OC, tune in on-line at the KUCI website on Thursday’s from 10am-12:00pm or locally in Orange County, CA. at 88.9fm in Irvine.
