Former Latino Web Hosting Executive to Launch E.tv, an Entertainment Video Social Network

E.tv to pay up to $300 dollars to top video tubers to join their network.

Hialeah, FL, October 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- In spite of growing turmoil in the economy, Alvaro Albarracin, a former web-hosting executive who was born in Colombia, has just announced the launch of a new entertainment video site after acquiring the domain name “E.tv.” According to Mr. Albarracin, E.tv will rival other popular video sites."

However, there is one major difference between these popular URLs and E.tv. E.tv will actually reward users for posting popular videos. The social networking video site is currently sponsoring a $300 contest for its users. The top rated videos will be rewarded with up to $300 in cash.

While YouTube and other social networking video sites are entertaining, E.tv takes the concept of online videos a step further and makes them rewarding for their creators. ETV will focus primarily on entertainment videos. Right now there is a growing demand for entertainment videos relating to celebrities. Movie trailers and TV show clips are also popular with video tubers.

Of course, with growing economic and political unrest across the globe, sites like E.tv allow video creators a forum in which to express their political opinions. Political commentary is another popular type of video on these video sharing sites.

And people are watching. As an example, this month alone 10 million people logged on to YouTube to view these popular videos:

Rihanna – Disturbia

The Real Sarah Palin

Fred Runs for President

YouTube users gain nothing but online fame from posting these popular clips. E.tv wishes to change that.

“We like to reward the people who can create such videos and have the capacity to bring large audiences to watch their videos,” stated Mr. Albarracin, the website’s creator. “Our users do not have to leave or delete their existing YouTube or MetaCafe video channels. We have a ‘Video Grabber’ that allows them to grab their videos to E.tv and to benefit from E.tv traffic and money contests.”

So what’s the catch? According to Ms. Roca, the media representative from E.tv, there is none. Users will pay nothing to register with the video sharing site and post their videos. All videos that are posted on the site can be rated and will be entered into the regular contests, such as the current $300 contest.

E.tv is as simple to use as other popular video sharing sites. Users create a username and password for the site, and they can log on any time they wish and post new videos. Videos can be posted in channels such as Video Games, Movie Trailers, Movie Reviews, Breaking News, Sports, Politics, and TV Shows, among others.
