Greater Baltimore Board Of Realtors Installs 2009 Board Of Directors -- Vito Simone Named President, Bob Kimball Honored as REALTOR® of the Year
Baltimore, MD, October 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® (GBBR) has announced that Vito Simone will lead its board of directors as president for 2009. At the trade association’s annual installation of officers and awards ceremony at Baltimore’s Engineer’s Club, GBBR also appointed David W. McIlvaine as president-elect, Bob Kimball as vice president, and Susan Myszkowski as treasurer.
GBBR honored Bob Kimball as its 2009 REALTOR® of the Year, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the profession and to the community. Erica Solomon was named Rookie REALTOR® of the Year, Doris Hall-Scheeler Affiliate of the Year, and Judy Morris received the association’s Community Service Award
Also at the ceremony, GBBR announced the addition of Linda C. Dieter, Candice E. Jones, Martha B. Lessner, Deborah A. Meushaw, Jay Weitzel, Gwendolyn Wynn to a two-year term on its 25-member board of directors.
As president of GBBR, Mr. Simone will spearhead its mission to promote ethical and professional standards in real estate sales and law, through professional training, continuing education, community outreach and arbitration services.
Mr. Simone is a National Association of REALTORS® Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) with Yerman, Witman, Gaines & Conklin Realty.
Throughout his 20 year career in real estate, Mr. Simone has remained a committed and passionate volunteer with a host of community organizations. He sponsors and teaches free community workshops to promote home ownership and guide people through the home buying process.
Mr. Simone is a member of Baltimore’s Flipping Task Force; treasurer of the Maryland Chapter of National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), a member of the Mayor's Council for City Living’s Existing Housing Committee, an active member of the Baltimore Economy and Efficiency Foundation (BEEF), a participant in Congressman Elijah Cummings' new Housing Council, and a member of the National Association of REALTORS ® (NAR).
