Avidyne to Present on Big-Glass Flight Decks and Weather Systems for GA Aircraft at AOPA Expo 2008
Lincoln, MA, November 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated flight deck and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, today announced that Tom Harper, director of marketing, is presenting at AOPA Expo 2008 in San Jose, Calif. Harper will discuss the major trends in general aviation, including big-glass flight deck retrofit solutions and worldwide datalink weather systems. Avidyne also will hold a press conference on Thursday, November 6, from 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. PST to discuss their latest and upcoming products and will conduct product demonstrations at booth #832.
What
Harper will explore the benefits of air transport glass flight decks and weather systems, as well as further industry trends. Harper is a 20-year veteran of the avionics industry, and previously held positions at Allied Signal Electronic and Avionics Systems, where he served as manager of marketing communications. Prior to that, Harper worked at King Radio Corporation as an electronics technician and later led the harness fabrication department at King Radio’s factory installation facility. Tom is a licensed private pilot.
Why
Virtually all new air-transport and high-end business jet aircraft are delivered with integrated flight deck systems because of their enhanced safety, capability and reliability. Attendees will learn how general aviation aircraft has been revolutionized by delivering big-glass flight deck retrofit solutions and worldwide datalink weather systems that provide all of the same benefits of air transport flight decks, but at the cost and weight that meets general aviation requirements.
Avidyne also will demonstrate the MLX770 two-way datalink transceiver that delivers graphical weather and two-way text messaging; the Entegra PFD4000 8-inch primary flight display system; the Entegra Synthetic Vision System (SVS); and the Entegra Enhanced Vision System (EVS) at booth #832.
