Cincinnati's Businesswoman and Community Leader Honored for Entrepreneurial Excellence
At the recent 2008 National Convention, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs commended the 2008 Brillante Award for Excellence. In the category of Entrepreneur Excellence, the Award went to a Cincinnati’s Hispanic businesswoman, Tillie Hidalgo Lim.
Cincinnati, OH, November 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Cincinnati Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) is pleased to announce that Tillie Hidalgo Lima, the President/CEO of Cincinnati's Best Upon Request, received the Brilliante Award in the Entrepreneur Excellence category.
At the recent 2008 National Convention, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs commended the 2008 Brillante Award for Excellence Recipients for their dedication and excellent example. The work and contributions of these outstanding leaders reflect the Society's mission "to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society." In the category of Entrepreneur Excellence, the 2008 Brillante Award went to a Cincinnati’s Hispanic businesswoman, Tillie Hidalgo Lima.
Tillie Hidalgo Lima is the President/CEO of Best Upon Request Corporate, Inc., a multi-million dollar company that partners with corporations and health care organizations and to provide concierge services to employees, patients and tenants. Under Tillie's leadership Best Upon Request has grown from 16 employees to more than 100, from five to 40 offices nationwide, and has grown more than 535% in revenue over the past six years. Her passion in life is to be a cheerleader for others and to "lift as she climbs."
“I’m very proud to receive this award,” Ms. Hidalgo Lima said, “especially as a Hispanic woman, because young Latinas can look at me as a role model and believe that they can also succeed in business!”
When asked about keys to her success, she added: “Goal setting has definitely been critical to my success. I have professional and personal goals, and I look at them every day. I rely on the Five Fs, which I learned from my parents. They are: faith, family, friends, freedom and fun. I also believe in celebrating your successes. Take that defining moment in your career and celebrate when goals are met -- this applies to celebrating accomplishments of others, too.”
