HarborPlace Residents Grill Local Candidates
Candidates for office in Port St Lucie, FL appreciated the opportunity to chat with local voters at HarborPlace Retirement Resort and Assisted Living Community.
Port St Lucie, FL, November 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- HarborPlace hosted a Meet and Greet for the local candidates and both major political parties turned out in force to get their views heard. The candidates were most appreciative of the chance to speak with individual voters and address their concerns.
HarborPlace residents (from the Retirement Resort and the Assisted Living Community) had some probing questions about the issues and what the candidates were planning to do to improve the city.
"How do you stand on the Leonard Road extension through the Savannah Club?" one resident asked Victoria (Huggs) Huggins.
"I'm against it," she unequivocally stated.
"You've got my vote!" he exclaimed as she handed him her card.
Brochures, tote bags, buttons, and cups were all in force to remind residents and the public to vote by Tuesday, November 4. HarborPlace is a voting precinct, so the residents don't even have to leave home to vote. This ensures a good turnout, in addition to providing a convenient place for East Lake Village and other local neighbors to vote.
